Bulldog Steel Products' pressure vessels are stamped per the current edition of ASME Section VIII - Division 1. These
tanks are primarily built to be hydropneumatic pressure vessels utilized in water supply and water treatment systems.
See the bottom of this page for a list of our most economical sizes from 500 to 30,000 gallon capacity.
The following is a list of the main features of our standard line of pressure vessels.
- Design (working) pressures up to 300 psi
- National Board registration available
- Mandatory requirements of ASME Section VIII-1 (Code Vessels):
- Constructed with a minimum of 3.5:1 design factor. Some jurisdictions require 4:1
- Certifying of welders and welding procedures (ASME Section IX)
- Material specifications (ASME Section II)
- Extensive documentation and records retention
- Hydrotest to minimum of 1.3x the design pressure
- All facets of design, construction, testing and documentation inspected by a third party Authorized Inspector.
- Standard tank connections:
- (One) 14"x18" Elliptical manway
- (One) 3" Threaded coupling for liquid level electrode holder
- (Two) 1" Threaded couplings for air inlet and pressure relief valve
- (One) 2" Threaded coupling for drain
- (One) Flanged inlet/outlet sized per customer's requirements
- (Two) Lift lugs to ease vessel unloading and placement
- (Two) Cradles for vessel attachment to your foundation
- Standard paint system:
- INTERIOR: shall be sandblasted per SSPC-10 and painted
in accordance with AWWA D102-latest edition and NSF61 approved
polyamide epoxy coatings.
- EXTERIOR: shall be sandblasted per SSPC SP-6 and painted
in accordance with AWWA D102-latest edition. We will furnish the tank
either primed or painted complete. A variety of finish colors are
available.
Any deviations from our standard tank connections or paint systems can
be incorporated. We are equipped to deliver all of our pressure vessels F.O.B. your jobsite
within the continental United States.
