Standpipes are basically tall, narrow ground storage tanks that are used for elevated storage.
Standpipes are an economical alternative to elevated storage tanks. We are equipped to construct
standpipes up to 130' tall.
Foundation
The anchoring requirements for standpipes will always necessitate a pad-style concrete
foundation. The standpipe will be anchored to the foundation using bolts embedded
in the concrete. Soil borings will need to be performed prior to any foundation work
to determine the stability of the sub-surface soil. Results of the geotechnical reports from
the soil testing laboratory shall be used in the foundation sizing calculations.
