Bulldog Steel Products' tanks are primarily manufactured to be hydropneumatic pressure vessels and surge tanks, utilized in water supply and water treatment systems. Our pressure vessels are stamped per the current edition of ASME Section VIII - Division 1. 

Our shop is a fully equipped, 37,000 square foot steel working shop located on I-20 in Clyde, Texas (about 125 miles West of Ft. Worth). Our painting and sand blast facility is located on our 40 acres behind the main shop and offices.  This centrally located position is ideal for being able to provide competitive pricing throughout the United States. We win bids and deliver tanks every month from California to Florida - coast to coast.

We build vessels to the customer's specifications. Any size, horizontal or vertical, can be accommodated.  However, there are times when we are asked for suggested sizes, so here is a list of the most common dimensions.

- Design (working) pressures up to 300 psi
- National Board registration available
- All requirements of ASME Section VIII-1 (Code Vessels)
  • Constructed with a minimum of 3.5:1 design factor. Some jurisdictions require 4:1
  • Certifying of welders and welding procedures (ASME Section IX)
  • Material specifications (ASME Section II)
  • Extensive documentation and records retention
  • Hydrotest to a minimum of 1.3x the design pressure
  • All facets of design, construction, testing and documentation inspected by a third party Authorized Inspector.
- Standard tank connections:
  • (One) 14"x18" Elliptical manway
  • (One) 3" Threaded coupling for liquid level electrode holder
  • (Two) 1" Threaded couplings for air inlet and pressure relief valve
  • (One) 2" Threaded coupling for drain
  • (One) Flanged inlet/outlet sized per customer's requirements
  • (Two) Lift lugs for easy vessel unloading and placement
  • (Two) Cradles for vessel attachment to your foundation
- Standard paint system:
  • INTERIOR: shall be sandblasted per SSPC-10 and painted in accordance with AWWA D102-latest edition and NSF61 approved polyamide epoxy coatings.
  • EXTERIOR: shall be sandblasted per SSPC SP-6 and painted in accordance with AWWA D102-latest edition. We will furnish the tank either primed or painted complete. A variety of finish colors are available.
Any deviations from our standard tank connections or paint systems can be incorporated. We deliver all of our pressure vessels F.O.B. to your job site anywhere within the continental United States, as well as to ports for international shipping.
