The anchoring requirements for standpipes will always necessitate a pad-style concrete foundation. The standpipe will be anchored to the foundation using bolts embedded in the concrete. Soil borings will need to be performed prior to any foundation work to determine the stability of the sub-surface soil. Results of the geotechnical reports from the soil testing laboratory will be used in the foundation sizing calculations.
